Tips and Hints
- Keep the ball moving with a lot of passes. Unless you've got a star striker, it's unlikely one player can go the length of the pitch without a defender picking him off.
- Utilize your spins and juke moves when defenders approach to tackle. You'll have to practice to get the timing down so you'll know when to use the moves.
- Don't use the same move twice when trying to get past consecutive defenders -- the second move won't be nearly as effective if it's the same one.
- Try to get the ball down the sides of the pitch towards the goal. If you can get to the corner and cross it, you'll have a good chance of heading or volleying one in.
- Don't be afraid to try the bicycle kick when you're crossing the ball in front of goal -- you can often find the back of the net with a well-timed bicycle kick.
- If you're up by a couple goals, don't use the aggressive tackle so much on your opponent -- if you pick up a red card, it will hurt your chances of keeping your lead.
- Keep an eye out for the players on your team that rack up a yellow card and be careful with them, because two yellow cards for a player gets them ejected from the match.
- Watch out when tackling your opponent in the penalty box -- one wrong move and you'll give up a penalty shot, which are very easy to convert into a goal.
