Playing Tips
There are a few strategies that you should follow when playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. The most important thing to remember is that you cannot carelessly go blasting everything in your way. If you do this, you will run out of ammunition at some point in the game. If you come across a zombie that is not in you way, just avoid them. The point of this game is to survive, not rack up kills. Make sure that when you do kill a zombie, use the right weapons. Do not waste a grenade on a zombie unless you absolutely need to. You collect many arrows in the game, use them on the zombies and save your big weapons for larger enemies. You will need them. Learn to use the knife. It is only really effective on zombies. Slash at their feet to knock them down, and once they fall, just hack them away until they die. You just saved yourself 3-5 bullets.
As you go through the game, make sure that you read all of the notes, books and paintings that you come across. Sometimes they will contain codes or the answers to puzzles. Sometimes they will cryptic and you will have to figure out the key. If you pick up an item and have no idea what to do with it, try going into your inventory and checking it. Sometimes an object will be in or under it that you need. Be sure to check it from all angles. For instance, you cannot open a briefcase unless you are actually looking at the lock. All of the answers to the puzzles can be found in the game.
